Goodreads asked Rebecca Duvall Scott:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Rebecca Duvall Scott "Sensational Kids, Sensational Families: Hope for Sensory Processing Differences" is a boots-on-the-ground style self-help memoir born out of our family's struggles and triumphs after my son's sensory processing disorder diagnosis. I had to learn so much from scratch to help him reach his potential, and I'm happy to put the research, intervention strategies and positive mindset shifts that helped us in one place to help the next struggling family or professional looking for an edge on SPD. My son's occupational therapist also wrote professional commentary sections to compliment the raw words of a parent... so I think it is the best of both worlds! It is really the survival guide I wish I had when I found out my son needed help.
