"The plague had killed in all of us the faculty not of love only but even of friendship. Naturally enough, since love asks something of the future, and nothing was left us but a series of present moments." Oct 01, 2017 10:49PM

"The proponents and believers of "war of all against all" are reminded that mutual struggle is not 'the' law of the nature. Mutual aid and cooperation are as much the law as struggle has been." Feb 14, 2019 05:10PM

intimate revelations of young men or at least the terms in which they express them are usually plagiaristic and marred by obvious suppressions.

“Those who genuinely want to help the movement should study the rich and powerful, not the poor and powerless...The poor and powerless already know what is wrong with their lives and those who want to help them should analyse the forces that keep them where they are. Better a sociology of the Pentagon or the Houston country club than of single mothers or inner-city gangs.”

“By nature, parties must also have a position on just about everything, while movements need not because they have no pretensions to governing.”

“I'm afraid we're stuck with Kant and his"crooked timber of humanity, from which no straight thing was ever made." If we're going to build another world, it will be from this crooked timber and no other, so we'd better start learning the necessary carpentry.”
