Communication and Teamwork is as important as individual expertise, especially in medical field.

It is highly effective for all team members (Senior surgeon, anesthesiologist, scrub nurse, circulating nurse, resident surgeon) talk with one another about the case and roles at least for a minute before starting surgery. It improved coordination and reduces errors. This effective measure is called "Verbal checklist".
