It took me a few pages to get into this (the beginning reads a bit odd), but it's honestly the surprise BDSM that threw me! I kind of picked it via Kindle Unlimited based on the cutesy cover, didn't read any content warnings (my own fault), and was expecting cute and lighthearted. Definite got cute, but I really need to be in the mood for BDSM.

Ok, cool, all caught up to where I was before I dropped this one :)

Hmmm. Firstly, love Maddox. Also, not a harem isekai person - never actually read one (seen some anime), but the concept doesn't appeal for various reasons, main one being the poly aspect. I want characters so obsessively in love with each other that they'd NEVER consider sharing. But thought I'd try something different. Off the bat, the reader-insert aspect is grating, as expected. The sex at 40% is smoking though!

So, for some reason only past me understands, I had at some point read this one to 60%? But I skipped book one? (Maybe I thought I'd already read book one lol.) Now that I've read (and loved) book one, I'm starting at the beginning again.

Cody's family is horrendous. Gets a bit boring as it mostly takes place in bed. (Ghost / Aury PTSD lol.)

I'm not loving it, it's a bit silly compared to the Monstrous series (which I love), but pushing through as I believe it gets better!

Look, I read a whole variety of bullshit, but this particular one is squicking me out. This really feels like an abuse of power | authority | fan worship. I basically hate Luca.

I'm marching my way through all the books I've half-read this year! :) I don't remember anything about this one but the blurb sounds right up my alley, meaning it's probably not great or I wouldn't have bailed halfway. Diving in again to either restart or finish.

Enough with the stopping with a book before I get to the end lol. I was actually enjoying this one but apparently I have book ADHD this year.
