Honestly soo annoyed with all the back and forth between Piper and Noah. Just friggin date already. And you’re a 28 year old woman and you let your dad dictate who you can date? NOPE!

I’m “shelfing” this at 12% because the extremely large amounts of inner monologuing that hold up the entire book PLUS cause each MC to make STUPID choices that are the EXACT OPPOSITE of what would further the plot and bring us action/resolution are giving me no end to frustration. I put up with it for the first 3 books but it’s gotten old and I need a break.

Tired of Lennox’s constant fighting. I realize if we didn’t have Cato’s POV it would prob make sense. But we do, and I’m bored.

OMG I AM SOO BORED WOTH DECLAN’S POV! It’s not only boring, but it’s making no sense. Along with trying to shove his history at us in the middle of the action, it just makes it that much worse.

Pretty sure I’m on the cusp of DNF’ing this.

So far I’m pretty frustrated with this one.

1. NUMEROUS typos. So many missing words that change the meaning of the sentence without them.
2. Very SO slow start & I don’t care for any of the characters.
3. Took me almost a full chapter to realize I was in someone else’s POV because it was in hard to read font on a teeny image at the top of the chapter. It needed to be made way more clear.

Unless something really awesome happens in this book, this will be the last one. It is SO cringey AND boring and SO. MANY. ERRORS.

Shelving for now because it’s a little bit slow and boring

Second try reading this series. I tried to read this first book a few years ago and felt too frustrated by it. Maybe it was slow? Maybe the MC was buffing me? Maybe I was the one with the bug up my butt. But I truly love Annette Marie, so here we go!

Sadly I’m in agreement with all of the critical reviews. This book is a snooze. I’m taking a break from it.

Getting super bored and putting this one on the shelf for a while.

Wow. This book is even more frustrating and annoying than the first (regarding Zayn)!

After just having watched Wicked, my brain keeps imposing Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo over Loren & Dallas. 🤣

Pausing here because the storyline is moving along at a snail’s pace and there’s not enough of interest or relation to the entire storyline to keep my interest in each of these books.

And let’s not even get started on the ‘romance?’ It can barely pass for that word.

Taking a break. It’s a bit much for me.

52% in and I’ve been so pissed so many times I can’t even count. This storyline and these characters better shape up or I’m out and blacklisting this author.

YES!!!! THIS is the one I’ve been waiting for!

Not really into it. I think it’s way better to read an entire series back to back. Because I was ALL IN before (even though I was pissy about a few things), but now I’m having a hard time re-connecting.

It also looks to be extremely short. Only 97 Kindle pages.

Pausing this here because it’s tedious and also book 6 of Cocktails in Hell was just released today and Portluck Paranormal Detective Book 4 comes out tomorrow, so… SEE YA!!!

I tried to read this one before and ended it at 44%. I restarted it and am trying to get back into it, but it’s very difficult. The writing style is so strange. I’m not sure how to explain it, but just about every single sentence is difficult for me to understand. And there’s this weird sense of superiority or all-knowing from our MC that just seems odd.

I’m needing a pause. It’s getting to be a bit much. Just a little too overdone. Tedious. It’s like I’m WADING through it.

I’m finding it difficult to care about the things they’re dealing with. Nor want to muddle through the struggles and stressors they’re up against so I’m putting this one on the shelf for now.
