this novella is not written very well … like at all. but when a book is only 100 pages it’s hard to want to DNF it. even though i know i could be reading better books.

the amount of times she mentions that she is “betrothed” is excessive … but overall this is a great book!!
the audio is done in a duet & 😮‍💨 his voice is 👌🏾

the truth has come out & there is legitimate reason for outrage.
sometimes characters become so upset about the most petty shit or they act like a child because their hurt feelings can’t see the logic of the situation.

i hate that everything is a series … i want more really good stand alone books

this book is just as much cute as it is spicy!!! the narrator’s voice is better as a male than as a female though lol! for a girl in her 20s she sounds like a 40yr yr old going on 50 😬

i have been in such a book rut this year! i cannot finish a book for the life of me 😭

okay i’m not sure what drew me to this book .. all i remember is finding it on some reddit post. i’m not fully convinced i’ll finish bc the writing is basic AF (which makes it easy to read ..& a little cringe).

i hate it when the FMC & MMC have to part ways so close to the end of the book. it makes me feel like (if they don’t rejoin in this one) then the next one will be largely about waiting for to be together again… 🙄 & that’s boring to read.

i have never heard truer words! there is soo much thinking & calculating & scheming that the dialogue gets lost sometimes!

i love this trilogy l so much & i need to give these books more attention.

i love the way this curse has two main jobs within this story … the first, driving the mystery around Lonnie AND her magic. & second, keeping the sexual tension maddeningly alive.

i don’t love that you can’t tell who she’s ultimately going to be with … & i definitely don’t love that they are cousins … but at 88% i’m not going to stop now

it feels like ALL she talks about is when is “when you murdered me”!! it’s kind of redundant & super annoying.

hmm … can’t believe im at 40% in this book bc it feels like nothing has happened. it’s entertaining i guess …& leaves of questions hanging in the air but just feels uneventful.

anyways … i love that Bale calls her little monster!
