There’s so many underwater caves in this book which is really fun but I’m panicking that the characters are testing out the air in each one with their LUNGS, like light a damn match to check for O2 at LEAST, or does magic cure suffocation????

Tbf I don’t think I’d like living in Narashtovik either because it’s basically deep in the arctic circle but Gladdic is NOT valid for his nonsense lmao

These guys are OBSESSED with their fountain smh
The Cantag are beyond weird for centering their entire civilization on keeping watch over the fountain to the point of torturing each other and themselves indefinitely, but Antole was super friendly and likeable considering he was totally ready to let the world be destroyed until Nolost unprovokedly pissed him off
