Felipe Arraño In 267, the Herulians, one Gothic tribe, raided Athens (p. 260). In 376 there was another raid by the Goths, Alaric and his Visigoths invaded Greece (p. 262). Christians came to Athens imposing Christianity over Neoplatonists, Constantine’s victory (p. 266-267). Athens was “invisible” for more than two hundred years, during the Dark Age into which Europe had plunged by invasions and cultural rifts (p. 268).
