DEI Sonnet | Visvavictor

I call it curiosity,
You call it science.
I call it integrity,
You call it defiance.
I call it contemplation,
You call it philosophy.
I call it accountability,
You call it sociology.
I call it correction,
You call it revolution.
I call it existence,
You call it inclusion.
All I see is humans
finally living a human life.
You with your brainy fancy
philosophize it as DEI.

Purpose of Purpose (The Sonnet) | The Pastor Who Never Was

The purpose of science is its correction,
The purpose of religion is its extinction.
The purpose of art is purposeful reflection,
The purpose of a human is self-annihilation.
The purpose of hands is to unfold in help,
The purpose of heart is to be a shelter.
The purpose of feet is to walk forward,
The purpose of eyes is to enhance insight.
Purpose is the antithesis of imprisonment,
Life is the antithesis of indoctrination.
Hands aren’t meant to be used for hogging,
Heart is the antithesis of division.
All purpose must be an aid to the uplift of humanity.
If it is impediment, it ain’t no purpose, but inhumanity.

Justice Beyond Month (Sonnet 1182) | Visvavictor

Pride that ends with the end of June,
is but an episode of looney tunes.
Divergence that dies with April’s wake,
is no inclusion but bark of buffoons.

Black history that ends with the end of February,
is not solidarity but a hashtag cacophony.
Women’s history that ends with the end of March,
is no celebration but a sacrilege of equality.

When AAPI are only visible in the month of May,
It ain’t no visibility but a mockery of life.
When nativeness is welcome till October 15th,
It ain’t integration but desecration of light.

Awareness is justice when it reduces prejudice.
But one that’s trendy only in specific months,
is no awareness but a different kind of malice.

Acceptance is awareness, awareness is life.
100 calendars fall short to celebrate mindlight.

Plenticultural (Sonnet 1434) | Abhijit Naskar | Dervis Vadisi: 100 Promissory Sonnets

When I get mad, I revert to English,
because English is my first language.
When I feel romantic, I revert to Turkish,
because Turkish is my love language.

When I feel passionate, I revert to Spanish,
because Spanish is my passion language.
When I feel electric, I revert to Telugu,
because Telugu is my power language.

When nothing works, I revert to Korean,
because Korean is my backup language.
And you wonder why I never run empty,
why the natural spring is ever abundant!

Language is the gateway to culture,
Culture is the gateway to life.
I am no person who speaks many tongues,
I am the proof of plenticultural life.

The Good Conqueror (Sonnet) – Abhijit Naskar, Azad Earth Army: When The World Cries Blood

Born in the land of multiculturalism,
I grew up speaking three languages,
mother tongue, national tongue and English.

Then in my late teens I acquired
my fourth tongue Telugu on a whim,
and later along the years,
I acquired my fifth, Turkish, which
became my dearest, and my sixth,
yet to be perfected, Spanish.

That’s the only conquest I care about,
for language is the highway to culture.
Not real estate, gadgets or cash,
give me languages, give me cultures.

English is my work language,
Turkish is my love language.
Science is my brain language,
Integration, my heart language.

Black is Brave, Woman is Wonder – Abhijit Naskar, Azad Earth Army

No one else anywhere will have to suffer, it ends with us – the prejudice, the bigotry, the stupidity, the superstition, the fanaticism, all masquerading as sanity – it ends with us.

Black is brave,
Woman is wonder,
Muslim is magnetic,
Asian is thunder.

Prejudice is plunder,
Biases are blunder.
Hate wreaks havoc,
when hearts are asunder.

Accessibility is Humanity (Sonnet) – Abhijit Naskar, Neurosonnets

I wanted my mind to be accessible to everyone,
so I started translating my core ideas into as
many languages as I can phonetically make sense.
I wanted to be visible further beyond the eyes,
so, lacking braille, I started recording my voice.

I have a scientist brain, sufi heart, and a monk
spirit – I don’t need to outsource any faculty.
I am capable, I am incorruptible, I am alive –
I need no one’s charity to uphold my humanity.

No backing, only backbone.
No benefactor, only brain power.
No industry, only integrity.
No contract, only character.

Exclusivity breeds jungle, inclusivity makes society.
Vip access is for animals, accessibility is humanity.

Way of The Slipper (Bug-Repellent Sonnet) – Abhijit Naskar, Neurosonnets

This prehistoric world has an instinctual
affinity to black and white, binary concepts.
Justice is too grand an exercise to be contained
by the binary nonsense of violence and nonviolence.

Bullets are an act of violence, silence
is an act of bookish nonviolence – but there
is a third option – the way of the slipper.
Slippers are more effective in fighting bugs,
than bullets – slippers strip the bugs of
power, while bullets make them martyr.

With all your slippers combined,
the mightiest of tyrant is bound to fall,
be it a state head, court judge or copper,
or oligarchs rendering democracy into jungle.

When people blow their top, billionaires
become bum, and presidents turn tramp.
Fetch the household bug-repellent from
under your feet, and treat the corrupt
and bigoted like your offspring gone bad.

“Mass deportation is human trafficking.” – Abhijit Naskar, Neurosonnets

Mass deportation is human trafficking, but you’d have to have a human heart, unchained by patriotic allegiances, to fathom this. Every genocidal maniac is a patriot, and it’s the golden age of crime, when the biggest cartel of a nation is its own government.
