My friends call me Nate so please do the same!

Other than taking care of my family and writing speculative fiction, I am into black tea (cream and sugar, please), semi-extreme sports, tropical plants, the ocean, graphic design, travel, books about travel, marketing (not great, but getting better), playing Minecraft and Mario Kart with my kids, watching Minecraft Youtubers with my kids, old houses, religion, podcasts, history, learning how people are making the world better, formula one racing (as of 2021), epic adventure movies and tv shows, and long and wide-ranging late night conversations with friends.

From there it sort of became superheroes in space, but still with an emphasis on a group of people going through a learning process together.

The Greysuits themselves are suits made of nanobots which can do all kinds of interesting things following the mental instructions of the wearer. All that stuff took a while to work out as I was writing, but I think I ended up with something fairly believable that was able to accomplish what I needed it to for the story.(less)

Into The Holidays, Gently We Go

Welcome to the November 2025 edition of…
What I’m Into, What I’m Up To
#61

Okay, before I begin, a confession (the first of two):

Instead of writing this from scratch in my notes app (currently using Obsidian for fellow notes app obsessives), I basically started stream-of-consciousness writing the stuff I wanted to include in this month's update into ChatGPT, then copied and pasted one of my other em
