Born in Montreal, Quebec, Inger has lived in the US for most of her life. She grew up in a small town in Northern New Jersey, where the passion for reading led to a lifetime of writing. Inger has always thought of herself as a storyteller, rather than an author. To her, the story itself is the most important part of a book, and she avoids penning excessive pages filled with unnecessary detail. With short, easy to read chapters, and concise descriptive passages, she hopes to rapidly draw readers into the worlds that she has created.

Inger holds a Masters Degree in Arts and Education. She has written ten books, in nine volumes, for The Circles of the Soul series. In addition, she collaborated with Cathlyn A. Driscoll to create two children’s

Two screenplays are completed, one still in editing, and one is out and about, making the rounds. In addition to the new ideas, we are also working on a screen adaptation of my novel, Always Just Beyond.(less)

Under the covers, with a flashlight, I would read well into the night, defying parental commands to go to sleep. Loving the classics, I delved into Dickens, Bronte, Austin, Hardy, Steinbeck and Hemingway, pulling books out from my father's vast library. Often sneaking books that were over my head (and totally inappropriate for a young reader), I was seriously questioned once by my seventh grade teacher when she spotted "The Godfather" tucked in my bookbag!

Reading leads to writing. The love of the written word is a passion, one that never disappoints. And reading everything, from War and Peace to a corny romance novel, gave me all the inspiration I ever needed. (less)

The Circles of the Soul

I came from a Cancer family. My parents were both Cancers, both born in July. And it was cancer that took both of their lives.

Chemotherapy and radiation and countless blood tests were the norm for them. Each parent had three rounds of cancer. All different types. Bladder, colon, liver, uterine and lung. Each parent had a brutal end, slipping into an exhaustive coma before breathing that final brea Read more of this blog post »
