Gorgeous ISLAND PRACTICE spread in N Magazine!

I was honored to be asked to write about ISLAND PRACTICE's Dr. Timothy Lepore for the award-winning N Magazine (they just won another PINE award)! And when I saw the display, with jaw-droppingly wonderful photos by Kit Noble and Maria Carey, I was especially thrilled. You can see one of Kit's photos here http://www.n-magazine.com/arts-entert... and there are more here https://www.facebook.com/islandpractice.
Special thanks to Robert Cocuzzo, the imaginative managing editor of N!

ISLAND PRACTICE Bike Tours!

ISLAND PRACTICE on wheels! I’m excited to have been asked to partner with Nantucket Bike Tours to create a bicycle tour based on my book, Island Practice! Join this terrific bike tour company on an easy two-hour tour of beautiful Nantucket, highlighting the fun and eccentric stories in the book, which is the true tale of the colorful adventures of Dr. Timothy Lepore, Nantucket’s jack-of-all-trades doctor. Follow in the footsteps of the hermit Underground Tom, see where Dr. Lepore solved a homicide that stumped police, and more. For these first two tours, Dr. Lepore and I will be along for the ride, telling stories and answering questions. And I’m thrilled that proceeds will go to the Nantucket Book Festival, which sponsors wonderful book-related events and programs. June 21 – 3 PM. June 22 – 10 AM. http://www.nantucketbybike.com/tours/...

How I Write

I'm honored to be featured on ARTINFO - a wide-ranging interview about writing conducted by the talented and insightful author and art expert, Noah Charney. This was great fun for me to do.

Condoms on NPR's On Point

Enjoyed talking about building a better condom with Anthony Brooks on WBUR's On Point today. Our segment follows a fascinating in-depth discussion about the HPV vaccine. http://onpoint.wbur.org/2013/06/27/hp...

Lovely Island Practice review

It's great to keep getting reviews of Island Practice more than a year after publication! And this one has special meaning because it comes from Dr. Elaine Schattner, a physician and writer.

Island Jazz New York City event!

Here's a link to Caffe Vivaldi's blog post and a snippet of video from the first Island Practice "Island Jazz" gig -in New York City a few months ago. For those of you in the New York area, we'll be performing there again on July 24 and August 28, 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Caffe Vivaldi is a wonderful venue, really a Greenwich Village gem, lovingly tended by Ishrat Ansari, who not only loves artists of all genres, but is the very soul of an artist himself. (Not shown here, but coming soon will be a bit of the conversation with me and the awesome Alicia Anstead, editor of The Writer magazine.)
