Suman Pokhrel is a Nepali poet, lyricist, playwright, translator and artist. His poems have been translated into various languages and are appeared in notable journals worldwide. His theatrical and lyrical works have been performed in USA and in some countries of Asia and Europe.

Suman Pokhrel's poetry has been incorporated into the language and literature curricula at two universities in Nepal and four academic institutions in India. His original Nepali poem Taj Mahal ra Mero Prem (“The Taj Mahal and My Love”) is included in the undergraduate syllabus at Purbanchal University, Nepal.
