I don't remember Chronicles of Ylandre being sci-fi. It was a high fantasy with a bit of modern plumbing. I might be mistaken.

No problem. :DI found 2 more books - they were anthologies 1 or more stories from each fit that you're looking for. Dominant Tendencies, Tall, Dark, and Wriggly

Yes, all three look great! :D
PS Can you confirm Chronicles of Ylandre for me? I thought it was just a high fantasy. Don't remember any spaceships or advanced technology.

I know all about that plumbing. There was a lot of it *snorts* described in painstaking details. The whole chapter that you can consider a plumbing manual. I had to DNF at 40%, so - not sure about the rest :(

They've lost the advanced tech since.
I question Strange Charm. I don't recall any fantasy elements. For Inherent Gifts, the "gifts" are due to genetic mutations rather than paranormal sources. (Like Dark Space)
The Ylandre series is pure fantasy to me. It wouldn't count as sci-fi.Edit: There's not enough hints of "sci-fi" to justify it being sci fi. Despite the throwaway explanation of genetic breeding in the beginning... There's just not enough sci-fi presence.
I think L.A. Witt's books:
and
both qualify they've got cybernetically modified vampires in a futuristic setting.
