GR friends - excited to announce that I will attend a renowned Psychology Ph.D. program in the D.C. metro area starting this upcoming fall! It is surreal that I started my account on GR eight years ago, and now I'm on my way to becoming a fully-fledged psychologist. I am so grateful for all of the compassionate and bookish friends I have met here. Excited to write and read many more reviews in the upcoming years. :)

Also, I apologize for the inundation of reviews for American classics and short stories. I took classes centered on those two genres this past semester. Will get back to fiction, nonfiction, and YA soon!

Just reached 600 reviews and 600 ratings on Goodreads! I know it's quality and not quantity that counts, but I thought I'd make a status because I'm going back to college in three days. I'll have less time to read for fun, but I feel like 600 is a good milestone for now.

(also changed my profile picture for the first time in two years to celebrate, woo)

Putting this one on hold for now, having finished the section about admissions. Relevant and helpful advice despite the book's publishing date of 1997. Now I just need to do my part and work hard.

Sorry for the constant status updates, but yesterday was my birthday and I'm pretty sure most of my friends used my Goodreads profile to get me gifts (aka mission success). I also reorganized my bookshelves if anyone actually looks at those.

New summer goal inspired by this book: guide my eleven-year-old cousin onto the path of feminism. As a rising seventh-grader, she needs a head start.

I underestimated how much time I would have to read this summer, and now I'm 25 books ahead of my reading goal. What are some fantastic books you guys would recommend? Any genre would be appreciated: YA, classics, nonfiction, etc.

Today I'm thankful for all the beautiful books I've read and the amazing authors who've written them - but more importantly, for Goodreads, for providing such a great community for book-lovers. Despite the drama that's taken place over the past couple of months, I still appreciate all of my friends on here so much. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

As a college student struggling to juggle classwork, social life, etc. I'm not sure whether I should invest the time in making the move to BookLikes. Opinions, Goodreads friends?

Gave into temptation and purchased Sarah Dessen's The Moon and More, and I changed my desktop background to a quote from my all-time favorite novel of hers, The Truth About Forever. As an adult male I have no shame, only pride.

After adding all of this year's AP review books to my Goodreads' shelves, I'm officially three books ahead of my goal. Probably the most rebellious thing I've done this year.

How are you guys doing with your goals? :)

I appreciate the pure-blood/half-blood/mudblood conflict... I'm hoping that Hermione and Draco have an epic showdown before the end of the series. And I'm only on book two. No spoilers please!
