I am inspired to write about characters who are broken and have darkness inside them. I like to write about difficult, complicated, non-traditional relationships between people who are not perfect. I like to explore the most difficult parts of human relationships, like imperfection and forgiveness. It’s easy to be in love when everything is perfect. But can a person be forgiven? Can a person change and grow? Can a person do something terrible, and be granted the gift of forgiveness and a second chance? Can a person who has been deeply hurt by love and life ever find the ability to move on and give love another chance?

My characters make mistakes, sometimes they do terrible things and hurt the ones they love. But hopefully they also learn and grow, and end up better and stronger in the end.(less)
