41k words marriage of convenience crack treated seriously as a treat to tide me over while I make dinner, life has rarely been this good

Me watching my meat-eating friend repost a bunch of videos about the horrors of the meat industry like I’m seriously happy they’re bringing attention to those issues but the call is coming from inside the house 😶

Remember how I said I’d read these 5 chapters on Monday and now it’s Friday?😶

I started this about 2 and a half months ago and didn’t even read a whole chapter back then but I’m finally continuing 🙂‍↕️

Does anyone have any suggestions for fiction and nonfiction about World War 1 (especially Western Front)? I’m trying to do a mini personal curriculum in preparation for my Verdun trip 🙂‍↕️

Out of Spotify audiobook hours, ugh

12 and a half hours left of my readathon and I already can’t decide what to read 🫠 this is exactly why I’ve never actually finished a readathon lol

I’m seriously scared of going on vacation to France (+ the Netherlands) in August specifically because I’m scared I’ll accidentally eat something non-vegan and get sick while there 💔

Still on-track for my 1.0 Abitur halfway through (which means nothing to most of you but it makes me happy) 🙂‍↕️

14 and a half hour readathon (just reading time) until the end of the week! Gonna prioritise finishing Ship of Magic and Beartown as well as some short reads and maybe my July TBR 🙂‍↕️

Still got about 24 hours left before I get started on my readathon and the timer is already at 14 hours 21 minutes instead of 12 hours 🫠

My hideous orange offspring screaming at my door 0.3 seconds after I closed it with the intent of enjoying some quiet time just so he can loudly slobber on his cat toys. Typical. (I would genuinely die for him.)

Finally gonna finish this tomorrow 🤞🏻

I’m gonna be doing a 12 hour readathon in a few days to start off summer break and since I hate myself, I’m gonna be adding a minute to the timer for every like this gets and five minutes for every comment. Do your worst. (Reading time only but I’ll probably split it up over a few days.)

Don’t tell Press but I’m a day behind schedule (I read 5 chapters each every Saturday and Sunday and I didn’t have time to read the 5 chapters yesterday but I will catch up tomorrow)

The writing style of this book is genuinely insufferable

My expectations were way too high.

I need to quit listening to country like yesterday before my Spotify wrapped genuinely exposes my dark secrets (I need to uphold my metalhead image but the metal I listen to is definitely best suited for winter… when Spotify doesn’t count streams for half the season)

Half my annotations in the last few chapters contain the phrase "fuck you Fredrik" in some way

If there’s one thing I don’t play about it’s Spotify audiobooks (especially the questionable legal podcasts)

Am I the only one who’s rarely/never seriously attracted to characters in books? Like I sometimes find certain traits of a character attractive or can see the general appeal but I’m not a book boyfriend person at all honestly.

Reminder to anyone on my friend list who keeps a strict minors only policy that I turn 18 in just over 2 weeks in case you wanna unfriend me or anything 🙂‍↕️ (no hard feelings, will probably post at least one more update about this so it reaches whomever it may concern)

I genuinely feel so sick rn because of what I just read.

On one hand I love these characters, on the other very little has happened in this book so far and not in a good way. It’s too much travelling around for me. I guess that was why I subconsciously never decided to pick this up.

Just started Beartown from the beginning again, first time ever annotating a book because it’s that good (the other option would’ve been to finish it and immediately reread it to annotate and I don’t think my heart could’ve handled that tbh)
