Sonnet of Abortion
My body, my decision,
Whether I choose birth or abortion.
Till a state can care for the newborn,
No bill is qualified to offer resolution.
Instead of controlling my birth canal,
Work on carving a paradigm of equality.
Build a world where a newborn is a gift,
Not a burden on life, dream or economy.
Abolish all disparities born of greed,
Strip the wealthy of their ill-gotten riches.
Use all resources for collective welfare,
So that status ends up on history pages.
Worse than aborting is birthing in instability.
I'll give birth when I need not rely on pity.

People Vs Supreme Court (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Statement on Supreme Court’s Decision to overturn Roe v. Wade
When the Supreme Court behaves prehistoric,
Every human must become an activist.
When the gatekeepers of law behave barbarian,
Every civilian must come down to the street.
When people are stripped off their basic rights,
By some bigoted and shortsighted gargoyles.
We the people must take back the reins,
And put the politicians in their rightful place.
We need no guns and grenades, we need no ammo,
Unarmed and unbent we stand against savagery.
Till every woman obtains their right to choice,
None of us will sit quiet in compliant apathy.
Every time the cradle of justice becomes criminal,
It falls upon us civilians to be justice incorruptible.

Ain’t My Fourth of July (The Sonnet) | Amantes Assemble
Fourth of July comes and goes,
Yet slavery remains and thrives.
It kills in the name of supremacy,
It causes ruin in a pro-life guise.
Real advocates of life value life,
And place life above all belief.
Belief that values guns over person,
Is only pro-death and pro-disease.
Freedom involves accountability,
Without which we are just free animals.
Those who turn superstition into law,
Are no judge but a bunch of dumbbells.
This ain’t my Fourth of July, for I actually value life.
Till all lives are deemed equal, I’ll continue to strive.
Yet slavery remains and thrives.
It kills in the name of supremacy,
It causes ruin in a pro-life guise.

Baseball builds more character than bible. Abhijit Naskar
“Freedom of religion can exist only,
Where there is religion of freedom.
Freedom of love can exist only,
Where there is love of freedom.
Freedom of choice can exist only,
Where there is choice of freedom.
Freedom of being can exist only,
Where there are beings of freedom.”
“If the bible comes and peddles phobia,
I’ll burn such bible to ashes.
If the koran comes and peddles violence,
I’ll tear up such koran to pieces.
If the vedas come and peddle superstition,
I’ll crush such filth to pulp with my foot.
If the constitution comes and peddles war,
As concerned parent I’ll grab their makers,
And spank out all their dormant good.
Even if some two-bit God comes,
And peddles division,
I’ll divide him so many times,
Even to his apostles,
He’ll bear no recognition.
And a little word of advise to those,
Priming their guns, swords and tridents.
When a volcano erupts,
Insects are supposed to run,
Not hide behind bows, arrows and bibles.
Brain is mightier than bullets,
Heart is mightier than the homunculus.
When a 3 pound brain falls on bigoted bugs,
There is no running, only burning to cinders.”

Ban Bombs, Not Books | Abhijit Naskar | World War Human: 100 New Earthling Sonnets
Peace is a crime against state, that’s
why patriotism is a glorified quality.
More patriotic the citizens of a nation,
less likely they’ll question warmongery.
Question hate, not harmony.
Ban bombs, not books.
Doubt borders, not benevolence.
Chain the worms, not wombs.
why patriotism is a glorified quality.
More patriotic the citizens of a nation,
less likely they’ll question warmongery.
Question hate, not harmony.
Ban bombs, not books.
Doubt borders, not benevolence.
Chain the worms, not wombs.

Human I Stand (Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Azad Earth Army: When The World Cries Blood

You know, what terms like woke,
feminist, anti-racist, anti-fascist,
anti-colonialist, anti-monarchist,
anti-nationalist, pro-choice, really mean!
They imply a willful involvement to
free ourselves from primitive practices,
as opposed to wishful thinking of tradition
forcing the living to adapt to the dead.
They are a step in the right direction,
humankind’s first step to correct itself.
By no means they imply a flawless world,
rather they reflect a world where bigotries
and atrocities aren’t considered proud heritage.
No one on earth should suffer to
satisfy someone’s puritanical beliefs.
Human I stand, from the river to the sea,
I won’t let no wildlife normalize inhumanity.

“Almost every child on earth dreams of travelling to America, then you grow up…” Abhijit Naskar, Azad Earth Army: When The World Cries Blood

Almost every child on earth dreams of travelling to America, then you grow up, and you realize, it’s the last place on earth any civilized person should step foot on – and those born here can’t wait to get out. It’s not American Dream, it’s American Scream – utopia for a white, straight, misogynistic animal kingdom to flourish, but an absolute purgatory for a civilized human society.

The God Commandment (Sonnet) – Abhijit Naskar, The God Sonnets

Love who you like,
stay single if you choose.
Have kids when you like,
or abort if you choose.
Keep god or not as you need,
convert to whatever you like.
There is no other grand design,
except a beautiful human mind.
What you believe or don’t is of no
consequence, one true god or another.
Imaginary friends are often therapeutic,
just don’t thrust your friend on another.
In my heart there is Mecca,
in my heart there is Bethlehem.
Humans come first, gods are disposable,
human choice is the God commandment.

“Planet earth is a planet of vegetables.” Abhijit Naskar, Iftar-e Insaniyat: The First Supper
Vegetables must be washed and cooked, to eliminate harmful bacteria ‘n parasites, and bring out their true nutrition – mind must be washed in compassion, and cooked in the fire of reason, to eliminate harmful biases and prejudice, and achieve our true capacity for life.
Planet earth is a planet of vegetables,
don’t let looks and suits fool you.
Only sentient beings are heathen rebels,
alive enough to question vegetable truth.
Planet earth is a planet of vegetables,
don’t let looks and suits fool you.
Only sentient beings are heathen rebels,
alive enough to question vegetable truth.
