Couple of years back I once wrote – how come we can invent better ways to kill each other, but not one to preserve peace! Tracking back the origin of the statement I found out that, it’s not from any of the books, but a part of an introduction to the Memorial Day Sonnet released on my wordpress site.

Anyway, the point is – today that question rings more evident than ever. So, I shall convey it in a few other languages in order to make it more universally organic. Because guess what – even though English is the universal language of earth, due to its primitive colonial escapades, and indeed the most convenient, it is neither the most beautiful nor the most soulful language on earth.

Therefore at this difficult humanitarian moment I say to you once again:

How come we can invent better ways to kill each other, but not one to preserve peace!

¡Cómo es que podemos inventar mejores maneras de matarnos unos a otros, pero ninguna para preservar la paz!

Come mai possiamo inventare modi migliori per ucciderci a vicenda, ma non uno per preservare la pace!

Nasıl yani, birbirimizi öldürmenin binlerce yol biliyoruz, ama barışı korumanın bir tane bile yok!

كيف يمكننا أن نبتكر طرقاً أفضل لقتل بعضنا البعض، ولا نجد طريقة للحفاظ على السلام!

ایمان انسانیت،
مذہب محبت؛
خون کی نہیں،
امن کی ہے چاہت۔

Hur kommer det sig att vi kan uppfinna bättre sätt att döda varandra, men inte ett sätt att bevara freden!

Wie kommt es, dass wir bessere Wege finden können, um einander zu töten, aber nicht um den Frieden zu bewahren!

It’s a sad state of affairs when
you get used to the sight of blood,
glorifying aggression as bravehearted.
It’s a sad state of affairs when
you feel good dressing up for gala,
while children are being bombed to death.

Sometimes aggression may be our last resort,
but never normalize it as civilized way of life.
The beast in me knows well to crush bones,
but the reformer I am, works to preserve life.

It’s a sad state of affairs when
prejudice is glorified as piety,
and curiosity is branded blasphemy,
when lies are honored as liberty,
and empathy is declared unholy.

Bandaid to the broken, backbone to the fallen.
Vital to world-light, we are Visvavitamin.

Eon upon eon I seek for a refuge,
Land upon land I receive but coldness.
Last I stand at your door exhausted,
Spare some warmth, for my heart freezes!

Stateless, cultless, I walk the planet.
Restless, sleepless, I live a dream.
Friendless, loveless, I brave the mission.
The being is dissolved for the beacon to beam.

Wield, I do, my conscience as compass.
Wear, I do, my backbone as battery.
Bouts of tragedy only amplifies my thunder,
Nature’s bare mockery makes miracle of me.

Borders are for hoarders, my home is the world.
Better a refugee to the sea than prisoner of the pond.

Życie jest jednym wielkim uprzedzeniem,
chyba że kwestionujesz wszystko.
Dobroć jest odważniejsza niż okrucieństwo,
Wszędzie jest dom, każdy jest rodziną.

Płoń tak jasno, świat ożywa,
Służba to najwyższa mądrość.
Obudź się, powstań i śmiało ogłoś:
mój świat, moja odpowiedzialność.

You should be more disgusted at
Churchill and Columbus than Hitler,
the fact that you are not,
shows how ludicrously little you’re
aware of humanitarian disasters.

Palestine is the new Poland,
yet hypocrites only shout for Ukraine.
Tears must fit liberty’s narrative,
if not, they’re thrusted terrorist blame.

Mein Kampf ist nicht vorbei, bis alle frei sind,
Surrender not to the narrative of fake freedom.
Greatest freedom is freedom from selfishness,
a capacity mastered only by the living human.

You know, what terms like woke,
feminist, anti-racist, anti-fascist,
anti-colonialist, anti-monarchist,
anti-nationalist, pro-choice, really mean!

They imply a willful involvement to
free ourselves from primitive practices,
as opposed to wishful thinking of tradition
forcing the living to adapt to the dead.

They are a step in the right direction,
humankind’s first step to correct itself.
By no means they imply a flawless world,
rather they reflect a world where bigotries
and atrocities aren’t considered proud heritage.

No one on earth should suffer to
satisfy someone’s puritanical beliefs.
Human I stand, from the river to the sea,
I won’t let no wildlife normalize inhumanity.

One pen can defeat a thousand guns,
that’s why books get banned, not guns.
There’s nothing more dangerous than
books that radicalize you against war.

When you take away fear from the citizens,
you take away their initiative for war.
And when citizens no longer conform to war,
that’s the biggest threat to political power.

You cannot ask citizens to pay for the bombs,
if they believe more in peace than paranoia.
Stupid taxpayers are the biggest sponsors of war,
patriotism is genocide, military is massacre.

I have zero tolerance for any civilian, politician
or scholar who takes pride in the military –
go back to the jungle, because that’s where you
belong, with the rest of your animal society.

Gaza is not for sale,
Greenland is not for sale,
Ukraine is not for sale,
Canada is not for sale.

Planet Earth is not real estate,
to pander to your predatory psychopathy.
If you are so hard up for cash, we can all
chip in to buy you some good ol shock therapy.

When someone plays fast and loose with rights
and freedom, their place is either in the jungle
or in a mental institution, not in office.
Fascism, fundamentalism and nationalism,
these are the ultimate mental illness.

Africa is not a charity case,
Colombia is not a charity case,
Bolivia is not a charity case,
Venezuela is not a charity case,

Mexico is not a charity case,
Philippines is not a charity case,
Thailand is not a charity case,
India is not a charity case –

the global south is not a charity case,
it’s rich with both mind and minerals.
Human poverty in the global south is
manufactured by the northern apes.

Awake, Arise, O Children of South,
you got more brain, heart and backbone
than all old and new colonials combined.
Humans of Earth everywhere, all rise ‘n roar,
the first global goal is to fire the fascists.

Science ought to be at the forefront
of calling and curing mindlessness,
not an olympian god aloof on pedestal
distantly passing judgment, like
hallucinations through bushes.

Faith ought to be at the forefront
of calling out persecution and malice,
rather than seeking justification in
dead books, like brainless primates.

Selma to Montgomery, from river to the sea,
We stand guard, with no weapon but our dignity.
Reason is our ark, love is our compass –
Colored, White, Muslim and otherwise, together
we shall overcome – All Awake to Humanity!

If A Tree Falls (Sonnet)

If a tree falls in the forest, but
nobody hears it, did it really fall!

If children are bombed to death,
but it’s omitted from the news,
did the children really die!

If people are massacred by law,
but it’s not on Netflix,
is it really a genocide!

If democracy is dismantled piece by piece,
but by government decree,
is it really illegal!

If the world is burnt to cinders,
but the privileged castles stay intact,
is the world really burning!
