You loved her a lot, didn’t you?’
‘She is the only girl I ever loved. I don’t know if it is a lot, or less
than a lot. I do know one thing, though.’
‘What?’
‘I will never love again. Ever.’
‘Why?’
‘Something is broken inside me. I don’t have the equipment or
wiring or whatever one needs to fall in love anymore.’

সেই শেষবারের মতো জোনাকি গুলো যখন আলো জ্বালিয়ে তাঁকে ঘিরে ধরলো তিনি আর নিজেকে সামলাতে পারেননি। কেঁদে ফেলেছিলেন। একটা মেয়ে তার যাবতীয় শেষ স্বপ্নটুকু নিয়ে কাঁদছে। তার সাক্ষী কোন কাছের মানুষ ছিল না সেদিন। কোনদিনই অবশ্য থাকেনি ইন্দুবালার পাশে কেউ। কিন্তু জামগাছটা ছিল। তুলসীতলা তলা ছিল। পুকুর পাড়ের কাঁচা মিঠে আমগাছটা যেন ডালপালা নেড়ে বলেছিল “কাঁদিস না ইন্দুবালা। এটা তোর নিয়তি।”

☠️☠️ দিনের বেলা এই বই পড়ে আসল মজা পাওয়া যায় না। তাই গভীর রাতে অল্প অল্প করে পড়া হচ্ছে। ☠️☠️

"নুহাশ বড় হবার জন্যে অপেক্ষা করছে। বড় হতে আর কতদিন লাগবে কে জানে। এস.এস.সি. পাস করার পর কি বড় হয়? ছোটচাচাকে জিজ্ঞেস করেছিল। চাচা বললেন, কত বছর বয়সে বড় হয় এটা বলা খুব মুশকিল। ধরাবাঁধা নিয়ম নেই। কেউ কেউ দশ বছরেই বড় হয়ে যায়। আবার কেউ কেউ আছে নব্বই বছরেও হয় না। বয়স যত বাড়ে বুদ্ধিশুদ্ধি তত কমে।"

Our minds often have an unrealistic perception of the world, peppered with interpretation,misunderstanding,automatic behaviors and opinions, and cultural and familial programming all laid on top of our lives like designs on a giant sheet of tracing paper while the more we strive to get our reality to match this design, the more we struggle.
