Do you ever finish a book and then can't stop thinking about it for all the wrong reasons?

It's been a week since I finished this but that's the case here. Might even get me to kick my reviewing slump just to rant and forget about my Fragments-related current disappointment 🤷‍♀️

Imagine waiting years for a book and wanting to DNF before the halfway point 😭

All I know is pain currently.

Debating on whether to give a GR objective rating or a "well fuck it, this was fun" rating 🤔

(Me, enjoying a book without overanalyzing it? M. Night Shyamalan would be salivating at this type of plot twist)

I already slapped a 2 star rating on book one forever ago but let's see what happens...

I'm seething, I'm screaming, I'm frowning, plus debating my life choices and staring at the void while the void stares back.

So anyway, this re-read is going pretty well! 🤠

Why am I even re-reading the story when I already gave it one star? I've decided to give a second chance to some books I hated in 2021, that's why.

Who knows, maybe I won't dislike it this time around... as much, at least.
Someone please stop me from self-destructing.

I refuse to analyze what this says about me but I was enjoying this a lot more when the H was still an unrepentant piece of shit I wanted to toss into a fire 😘🔥🔥

Plus, how can you include a "redemption arc" for an abusive asshole without him being kicked in the balls at least ONCE?! I'm not asking for a lot over here.

I'm actually not hating the book... and that scares me.

The fact that the MCs haven't fucked yet has me flabbergasted. Considering the last Avril Ashton book I reviewed featured the protagonists doing the horizontal tango by page two (2), this is practically a 800 page slowburn by her standards.

Finished this yesterday and I already forgot 50% of the book. Might be my school related 📉 dip in motivation 📉, might be how "meh" I was about the whole thing.

I'm definitely reading the sequel, however, because childhood best friends to lovers. So duh.

It can't possibly get more boring, frustrating, nonsensical, dull, contrived...

I have 30 pages left and I'm officially taking a break. I refuse to finish this just yet. The book hangover might just kill me once I'm done 💀

Popping my K. Webster MM cherry. I wasn't impressed by her MF when I tried it, so let's see. If I end up disliking this, I will be seeing Marci and Ellie the people who recommended this to me in court.

Just finished this after postponing the last thirty-page for two days straight. I reckon that says a lot. If I type a review for this, expect a very mixed bag 🤪

Robbie was a sweetheart, though. By the time I read the sequel —in approximately a decade or two, probably—, it will be for Robbie and Robbie alone.

I was honestly loving the book for about 70 percent of it, gushing, swooning, cheering... and then here I am now. What happened? A lot of things. Maybe I truly am a Bookish Grinch 🗿

As it stands, I'm hoping things turn back around because otherwise, I can see myself having yet another unpopular opinion. Y'all, please don't block me 🤡

This better be as good as everyone says or I'm filing a class lawsuit. I need a four or five star read, y'all. I'm honestly starved for it.

The fact that I managed to read so much of the book while I was supposed to be taking notes for an assignment says it all. You could say this is preeeeetty engaging.

(aka the smut is hot 🥴 and this isn't topping Secrets & Lies from the same author so far but the romance ain't bad either)

Binged this one yesterday as a prize for finishing my first round of exams. I get why people rated it lower now. The mystery? It really went 📉⤵️👇 for me. The romance and MCs, however... I will take about a trillion more books, please and thank you.

I kept repeating how I never binged any series... only to then finish book three from this one and officially turn into The Biggest Hypocrite of Them All.
